Zara couldn't shake off what Kelen had said. Determined to find answers, she went to Noah's room. It looked just as before—her mother had cleaned it but hadn't moved anything. Zara opened the drawer beneath the table in Noah's room and felt a pang of nostalgia; Noah had left almost everything to her. She remembered that he had written the phone numbers of people in a diary kept in the drawer.
Zara took out the diary and recalled Noah's words: "You know how short my memory is, so I'm writing down my phone numbers. If something happens to my phone, I can still reach out to people."
